Links to external web sites with scythe information

The Scythe Association of Britain and Ireland is developing resources for its members, and provides details of training courses and competitions around the country.

The Scythe Shop web site, as well as great detail of what to buy, has information about festivals and competitions around the country, and links to other sites. This is the work of Simon Fairlie, importer of austrian scythes to UK since 2000.

For both sides of the Atlantic much inspiration and guidance on European scythe equipment and techniques has come from Peter Vido in Canada.

There are now many useful YouTube videos from all around the world, which provide a huge range of information and inspiration. You can see what peening is all about, see different styles of snath, and be amazed at the athletic achievements in overseas competitions.
